Replacement pickups for Emmons Lashley Legrande

Hello Pedal Steel forum people,

I've recently purchased a Legrande (1149L) recently, and want to replace the original single coils with something humbucking and non noisy.

What are your current faves? Did you drop in something excellent, a good allrounder?

Also, anyone tried putting a Telonics x-10 in an emmons LL?

I have L-1153, I installed Bill Lawrence XR-16'S and have been very happy with them.

Yes on the X10 Matt. It is an excellent pickup for the LeGrande. The LeGrande III is a little different. Sounds good but the height presents a problem with the base thickness of the detune unit of which it mounts on.
