Melba Montgomery RIP

Post by Gary Hoetker »

What an immense and underappreciated talent, imo. Her singles and duets with George Jones on United Artists and Musicor are timeless. Many will never forget her. Jesus Bless her soul.

Oh no.She was one of my favorites.A beautiful lady and country to the bone.IMHO,she was great, but just didn't get the recognition she deserved. Some of these female "stars" would do well to listen to her recordings closely to hear how it's done.

That's always been one of my favorite songs. Hal Rugg playing real country steel guitar. Melba and George were a good combo too. RIP
