Schedule up soon!! And, hope everyone is ready for a great show!!!
If you’ve tried to book a hotel room at the Marriott, please let us know if there’s a problem to see if we can provide a resolution. I tried the link this morning and it seems to be working. Make sure you put the dates in there for the days you want to stay…that messes it up sometimes. If still problems, contact the hotel at 972.929.8800, ask for the TSGA or Texas Steel Guitar rate. Also, if you use the link, you can pay with PayPal or scroll down to use your own credit card. If you need more help please email Debbie at tsgajam@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to get it resolved.
Blessings to you all and see you very soon!!

Wonder why we never see Joe Wright in the line up anymore? Seemed like he was always popular, put on a good show,,,and lets face it,,,a world class talent and hall of famer!!! I know he was an attendee last year, I talked to him in the lobby,,,he said he was here,,,on his own dime,,,,had his equipment,,,ready to play,,,,HAD NOT BEEN ASKED!!!!
Just wondering?????

I’ve wondered the same thing. Joe’s performances were always the highlight of the evening wherever he played. Miss his seminars too

We were also puzzled as why Joe wasn't scheduled to play. He was obviously present but maybe he didn't want to play for some reason or other.

Joe did play in the non-pedal room (with pedals). For those that missed it, here is the video:

Oops sorry. Thought they would started at the beginning. Funny that it wasn’t publicized at all.

Re: 41st annual Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree
It was another great show. Some players we use to see, not there. Sadly some are gone. There were new young players, some of our old friends playing.
Got to visit with old friends and hopefully made new ones.
Debbie and Albert are stepping down after many years. Thank you for all the work and good times.
Hopefully the new president will do a great job, with our help.

Jana Lockaby was keeping it a surprise... man, what a surprise! I'm just glad Joe came down on his own nickel and tore the roof off the joint... and I got video of it to share. She does such a good job, she knows an order of magnitude more folks than me, and just gets it done.Bill McCloskey wrote: 11 Mar 2025 10:44 am Oops sorry. Thought they would started at the beginning. Jana is a gem - I had a great time playing guitar for a few folks, and in the MSA room, but my best time was in the non pedal room because Jana is so great!

I just had the BEST time. I’m no musician or singer but I just eat this stuff up and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy visiting with all the friends I’ve made. Thanks so much to everyone that had a part in hosting this incredible show. I’m sure several of you have seen the many many videos I posted but if not, look me up on Facebook (Rhonda Rose Lindsay). See you all next year!’

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2025 TSGA Jamboree. We were there from Thursday night through Sunday. There were lots of wonderful players. There’s some great new talent coming up. It’s nice to see that younger people are taking up the pedal steel.

Re: 41st annual Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree
Just received this response from my 8-paragraph review of the DFW Marriott posted on their site... evidently I got noticed... best news, biscuits and gravy are back!
Overall it was a stellar weekend... got to see so many friends I'd missed, and make new ones too. Many thanks to Albert and Debbie for their tireless work, the TSGA today is a testament to their dedication and the organization they've built.
I asked many folks about the hotel (good elevator conversation!) and responses were positive and mixed. Some folks didn't like the softer beds (I'm a big fan) but everyone loved the double-elevator availability compared to the Sheraton. Biggest on my (and others') mind was the food... the lack of a la carte for lunch and the limited breakfast options (even Hampton's free breakfast has B&G) loomed large in my review and obviously caught some attention.
See if you can decode my review from her response (overall I was positive, as noted):

Dear Mr.Cowell,
Thank you for taking the time to provide such thoughtful and detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We greatly appreciate your input and are glad to hear that the overall experience, especially the accommodations and service, was positive.
We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay, particularly with the dining options, iced tea, and the shower safety concerns. Please know that we take these matters seriously. We are addressing the food quality and variety with our culinary team, and we will ensure that better options are available moving forward, including biscuits and gravy at breakfast. We will also review our processes for cleaning beverage equipment to avoid cross-contamination between coffee and tea in the future.
Regarding the slippery shower floor, your safety is a top priority for us, and we will look into adding additional friction to the shower floors and explore the possibility of installing a longer horizontal grab bar. We truly appreciate your constructive feedback in this area and will work to ensure a safer experience for all of our guests.
Your positive remarks about our staff are truly appreciated, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words to them. They are indeed a key part of our success, and we are proud of the service they provide.
Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced, and we thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more seamless and enjoyable stay.
Sincerely,
Anicia Hatzky

Re: 41st annual Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree
I thought the hotel was nice. The bed was great for us to sleep on and two shower heads was nice as well. I liked the ballroom too. Vendors were spread out some but some were on the 2nd floor at the Sheraton. Thanks to Albert and Debbie Talley for all the years of service they have given. It takes someone special to do their job for no pay. And what about those young players? They were great to hear.
