A Sacred Steel Legend has passed on!
It’s with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Bishop Ronnie P. Hall. Please keep the Hall family in prayer during this difficult time, as they prepare to finalize funeral arrangements, thank you.
A true gentleman and a credit to the steel guitar community. He always had a kind word for everyone. I enjoyed his many posts and recordings here on the steel guitar forum. My condolences to the family.
Sorry to hear this. I loved his playing. He would always respond graciciously to my messages. His lines were so expresive.you could feel his soul coming thru his music,

So sad to hear, Ronnie was a very respected member of the Forum, I have missed his posts and give my respects to him and his family at this time. May God bless him!

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.
I’ve spent the last several days watching some of Bishop Ronnie’s videos. I’ve loved Sacred Steel music and its history from the moment I first heard it! We were always blessed by the selections Bishop Ronnie posted to comfort those of us on the Forum who needed it. He just seemed to know when someone was hurting. I remember when he posted something special, and a forum member replied that it was his father’s favorite song, and he had just passed away.
Bishop Ronnie made his mark on people all over the world. There was such purity and sweetness in his music “voice”.
He will be missed.

So sorry to hear this! How sad life can be. Bishop Hall always had fresh material on the internet and I used to feel like I was sitting down with a friend to see what was the latest composition he had prepared each month on You Tube.
Very sad. A great musician and a great man. I always said that I would fly up and play with him some day, but I never got round to it. I did get to build a steel guitar for him, which I'm sure he enjoyed.
It seems like I just finished writing his Christmas card. For some reason, I felt drawn to visiting this forum for the first time in weeks, and I opened up the "Gone Home" section to see if Ronnie was still around, as he hasn't been posting for some time. You're going to be well missed, my friend.
