Yeah, Dennis posted about it earlier. You can hear some clips of the new album on YT. The CD or LP, however it's formatted, will be added to my collection of PPL music.
There are some REALLY good songs on this album, and it is certainly a well titled album-"Back on Track".. Thats what it sounds like.. A modern PPL album, new guys, but faithful to the 1972 PPL style and musical sensibilities.. John Call sounds like you would expect. Perfect fit, and every once in a while you get his unique trademark fills and licks that made him a well beloved country rock player to so many of us. Little different tone than he used years ago, but still wonderful.
Nice version of Six Feet of Snow on this album! .. Like it almost as much as the original Little Feat version.. I really like the new band's vocals too... SO good to hear John Call on steel again with PPL!.... bob
