Playing Nov 9, Pella, Iowa with Ronstadt Revue

Post by Jim Cohen »

I'll be playing with the Ronstadt Revue featuring Gesenia on Sat., Nov 9 at the Pella Opera House, in Pella, Iowa (an hour out of Des Moines). Ir you're nearby, come on out! It'll be a great night of all of Linda Ronstadt's many musical genres, done exceedingly well by a jaw-dropping vocalist (and the brand is pretty spot-on too).

Info/tickets at: www.pellaoperahouse.org

Cheers,

Hi Jim. It has to be a hoot to play all those Linda Ronstadt songs. Wish we were close enough to attend.
I was listening today on YouTube to Linda's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and I thought of you ...and the Steel Guitar Cruise we played on a few years back.

Hey Bill,

Yes, I’m loving it. It was some of the first music I ever learned to play steel guitar on, so it’s really a full circle experience for me.

And just this evening I was telling someone about the Steel guitar cruise and how much fun that was. Wish we could do it again.

As it turns out, we are coming to South Carolina! On February 15, we will be playing at the Greg Rowles Legacy Theater in North Myrtle Beach. I hope that’s close enough for you to attend. It would be great to see you. Here’s the link; lemme know if you can make it out!

Yes, we will do our best to make it to Myrtle Beach in Feb. I sent you a private message as well.
Greg Rowles that owns the Legacy Theatre is also a steel guitar player, left handed Emmons no less. Greg, as the show headliner, does not get to play the steel very much on his show, but he works to ensure the Steel Guitar stays on that stage. Greg was the headliner at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach for approx. 23 years before creating the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre.
Great that he is booking groups like your Linda Ronstadt Review.
