Hi all, new to this forum. Any thoughts on this GFI 12 string PSG? thinking of buying to learn, was between that and a maverick. Appreciate your advice in advance, many thanks |

By ALL means not the Maverick! The GFI is a lot of guitar and is mechanically excellent, unlike the Maverick.

What's it setup for Universal or Extended E9th?

The GFI would be the 1, I would pick.
GFI guitars are easy to work on, To make any changes if needed. It would be a, Buy 1 guitar that will fill your needs for years.
Do you know if the guitar is set up Extended E9th, Or Universal?
I bought a GFI S12 keyed, Needed a back up guitar working in a band, Bought a GFI S12 Keyless.
GFI are good on support, And if parts needed.

Not big on 12 strings myself, but the GFI is a pro level instrument that will last pretty much forever.. The Maverick is a poorly made toy in comparison... I actually like Mavericks had a few of them, but they are not even close to being a serious steel guitar .. Don't let the prices you see online fool you.. people are paying insane money these days for Mavericks because "Sho Bud"...They are no where close to being worth what people are paying, and there are WAY better options out there for not much more money.. Like the GFI in question..... bob

| GFI all the way. They are great steels and are very easy to work on if you want to make any changes to the copedant. I've been playing my U12 for more than 20 years and while I'm by no means a master steel mechanic I've added a vertical knee lever, changed the copedant to various Newman variations and now Cox D13 with no difficulties. |

| I'll agree with Jamie. That guitar should be all you need from now on unless you decide you want an E9th & C6th on split necks. Everything you will need will be on that guitar when set up properly. |

| Owned one for 20+ years keyless s10. Such a great machine. They are the tank of guitars. Bullet proof . minor problems,easily dealt with. |
