Charles Reece who at one time played steel guitar for Webb Pierce, also ran the SC Steel Guitar Convention in Saluda. Charlie, as his friends called him was a steel builder. His steels were top quality, well built, smooth playing steels. His brand was his initials, which were CLR. Charlie built me one of his guitars in 2003, to my height and size specs, and it has been the best steel I have ever owned. He only built about a dozen of these great guitars. I was just wondering, who else out there owns one of the CLR guitars? I have one. I know David Christmas has one. I think Charlie's son Jerry may have one. So there are only about eight more of these out there somewhere. So just out of curiosity, Where are the CLR's now? Who else owns one?

I remember seeing Charles Reece and David Christmas playing CLR pedal steel guitars in Saluda, SC. I'm not sure how many were built, but they looked awesome and sounded awesome!
