Does anyone know who plays steel for Mike and the Moonpies? They’ll be playing in Seattle in October and it sure would be cool to say hi and pick his brain about steel!

Yes that is Zach Moulton playing pedal steel and he is great to hear and talk to if you get a chance.

Their bass player, Omar Oyoque, also plays pedal steel guitar.

Zach is one of my favorite players. Definitely go check them out, they put on a great show. I saw them last year and Zach was great to talk to after the show.

Awesome guys, thanks! I really like the twin steel and guitar parts. Very creative! I’m excited to watch them!

New name for the band - Silverada.

My wife and I just got through watching this:

It's a Real Life, Real Music podcast.

We never could figure out what it says across the front of Zack's steel guitar.

Lee, the front of his guitar says "Puro Pedal."

¡Claro que sí! Couldn't agree more.

Love the solo on this one:

Well, duh. Now I see it. And I live just a few miles from Mexico!

Did you notice the quasi/customized Emmons logo?

It says "Beanjudge," which is his handle on social media. Maybe it refers to judge Roy Bean ("law west of the Pecos")?
