I could use some help making a decision about what lessons/books to purchase to move forward. I'm kind of a beginner, but I've been playing three finger banjo for 25 years, so not exactly. I started with 8 string c6 last June. I've found some good stuff on youtube but I've exhausted all of that. I've got chords and scales down, and I can play melodies. I'm wanting to figure out how to play those double stops that are on those old Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Lefty Frizell records. Again I can play melodies but those old records have double stops that I just can't figure out what they are doing. I think I need someone to show me
Can anyone point me to lessons I can purchase or books I can buy for this speicfic purpose?

Hi Peter,
Check Cindy Cashdollar’s Western Swing videos on Homespun:

As far as double stops, it’s all thirds and sixths. So if you can play a C major scale, harmonize it with a note a third above (c and e, d and f, e and g, etc) and the sound you’re looking for should emerge out of that.
