Thanks, Abe. They’re both such great guitars. I spent a lot of time getting them play exactly the same. The round front one on the bottom is a ‘66 with full cross shafts and moveable bell cranks. The top one is earlier, and has welded bell cranks for the pedals. Those old cross shafts are impossible to bend or twist at all. It’s a really stable guitar. I’ve had it longer, and it’s the one I use for traveling. Both have the wider string spacing like a Permanent, and pickups under 10k. |

Here's one that I had a few years back. It had been Chas Smith's earlier. I found it was way too big for my music room, but it was cool nonetheless.

Here"s mine. I acquired this guitar from a friend of mine and she is in need of a complete facelift, which is in progress. This guitar was born in 2/1/1971. Serial number 701791.
