Hey guys. This is my first post in this section of the forum as I play pedal steel. Bought this a while back and I think it’s time to let it go. It works great and sounds wonderful. Would like to put a fair price tag on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked sold item prices on eBay/reverb etal?

Judging from the case, that's an early 60's Champ. I did a search on Reverb for "Fender champ lap steel" and then selected "sold" listings from the filters. See if this link works:
https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=fender%20champ%20lap%20steel&product_type=electric-guitars&show_only_sold=true
Looks like anywhere from $750 - $1250 for similar guitars. You have to be careful though, the SOLD price shown by Reverb was what it last listed for. If the seller took a lesser best offer, that doesn't show up. Take those numbers with a grain of salt. |

Thanks so much guys. I really appreciate it. I just checked out the reverb link Bill. I’ll take it into consideration. My guess is that maybe the $800 price is the more realistic one. I don’t want to ask more than it’s worth and ideally I will sell to a forum member in the for sale section. This is a good starting point. Again thanks Russ and Bill for your reply’s.
