I want to add a couple of changes on my Dekley that would require the pull rods to pass through lever mounts (brackets). I'll try and post a split one that I have on it but the bracket that I need to go through is presently a solid aluminum bar. I know I could just split the solid one with a band saw but am wondering if these are readily available. The older MSA probably has the same thing.

Hi Scott,
How many knee levers and pedals are you going to have? There is usually room tward the rear of the shaft (the part closest to the player) to mount the levers. That is where they are usually mounted, not needing the "feed through" style you have in the picture. I haven't seen those before. Are they MSA?
Luck on your work......Pat. |

I never seen a knee lever setup like that on a MSA Classic. |

It's very congested on the C6 on the right end. This steel has eight levers & nine pedals and the one I'm dealing with is pretty much right up by a reverse on the back wall. Wherever I put it needs to be open like the one in the photo for a rod or two to pass through. It's the steel they built for Bill Stroud and is original. I can't imagine what they did on Buddy Cage's with 14 levers. No problem though. I took the bar mount and split it (freehand with a jigsaw) and put a little spacer on the top end where the lever mounts. It ain't pretty but it will work. |

No, don’t go sawing any brackets,as that will make the bracket weaker. Just do two small, short bends in the rod to go around the bracket.

To late Donny. Besides what I've done is essentially what the one in the photo is except kind of sloppy looking. I did have a rod bent around it before but now I'm adding another and it's getting to be quite a cluster under there. |
