Can't play pedals until I get a new hip, reactivating my MSA Superslide 10. Anybody got an original stand, or an idea of one which would work?

You wont have much luck getting an original stand. I actually bought a second superslide because it came with a stand. The deluxe 34 stands should work, now sold by asher.

As Bill wrote, finding a stand on its own might be difficult. If a person already owns a SuperSlide, if they have decided for whatever reason that they would rather just play the guitar across their lap and are willing to sell the stand to you - then you might find a seller.

It would be worth it to contact MSA on the off chance that they have a couple stands lying around that they could sell you - unless Bill or others have tried that in the past but came up empty. It's my understanding that the reason they stopped building these guitars is because the factory which supplied the impregnated birch bodies burned down. I feel lucky to have a D-8 SuperSlide - excellent guitar.

Here is the link to the Asher stand, formerly Deluxe 34. Bill Asher took over the product after Deluxe 34 founder Mark Roeder decided to retire. I have one - it is a superb stand. There is a video on the website now that explains how to assemble and adjust the stand.

I have reached out to MSA. No stands.

I recognize this is somewhat irrelevant, but the current stand price is not too much less than I paid for the guitar. Maybe similar by the time I ship to Canada.

I’m guessing you bought your SuperSlide used and got a heck of a deal.

And a while ago!

Still, the stands have certainly gotten pricey.
