Where to buy Lift Kits?

This is for my Williams steels. Looking for the pedal rod extensions and the rings to lift the pedal bar.

Should be available at any hardware store. You'll need:

1). Extension nuts (1 for each pedal rod..available in all lengths)
2). 10-32 nuts..(3 for each rod)
3). 5/8" collars to mount above the pedal bar (to hold it down)
4). 10-32 set screws (1 for each rod)

Run a nut up the pedal rod
Screw the extension nut onto the rod
Screw the set screw into the other end of the extension nut
Place 2 nuts on the set screw
Screw on the ball joint
Remove the feet from the 2 front legs and slip the collars on.. this can require some effort
Replace the rubber feet and secure the collars to hold the pedal bar down
Set the height of the guitar using the leg clutches
Adjust the pedal height and tighten all 3 nuts

Those steel hex adapters are heavy. I have 8 of the 1" pedal rod extenders in aluminum. I could provide the sleeves, but I don't have the time to work the tubing right now.

Look here in the forum store for the pedal rod extenders in 1 or 2" lengths.

You can buy a couple of the 5/8 in. set collars from Amazon if you can live with those.

I know someone else that just took some aluminum tube to fit over the narrower tube of the leg, cut to length, and used semichrome to polish it up a little

I’ve used the ‘aluminum tube’ fix as well.. works great. 👍 I would also mention that the collars can also be bought as split collars (2 pieces/2 set screws) that would eliminate working it over the (possibly flared) end of the tube.. just put them on top of the pedal bar and tighten the screws..just a small cosmetic difference.

I had to do this on my Steel. 1 inch hex nut with 10-32 threads (which are the same as the threads on the original rods) and some 10-32 all thread cut to length on the bottom. I put a nut on top of the long hex nut. (the white cap in the pic is just the rod numbers) Then some loctite to make sure everything stays in place. Everything was available at the local hardware store. Hope this helps.
