Don't know if anybody mentioned:

Hot is OK, too hot ain't. I would check the power resistors vs. their rating -- if they are dissipating power much more than half their rating (or more than their expected design power in the circuit) then I might be concerned.

Just take the V in volts across the resistor, square it, then divide by the resistance in ohms -- that will give the power dissipation in watts.
