This is a new 22.5" scale length stainless steel 8 string prototype I've been working on with a noiseless Sentell pickup.
The strings are setup for A6 tuning with a string spacing of 0.393"

Looks like a beauty! At first glance I thought you had used a string leveling style nut, which i think is a great idea—surprised it’s not used more. Probably a hassle to build?

That string leveling nut looks interesting. I machine grooves in the nut, but that would be useful for changing string gauges and staying perfectly level. I'll have to build one and try it out!

I'm thinking George Jetson would really love the illuminated stands I make Smile
