I'm gonna go with big Ben Keith on an early Sho-Bud, I believe this is from 1959.

Agree that I think it's Ben Keith (poor guy could barely fit his legs under any guitar). And that may be a Wright steel?

Ben Keith is the steel guitarist who played in Neil Young's band and could also be heard on country records. He actually has a Christmas record called "Seven Gates, which features him playing the steel guitar, as well as vocals by Johnny Cash and other artists.

Buddy Emmons said in an interview that Don Warden got the first single neck Sho-Bud guitar, and Big Ben Keith got the first double neck Sho Bud…that is definitely a Sho Bud guitar-therefore,it may be the first double neck Sho Bud guitar…

Ben also played the haunting steel parts on Patsy Cline's I Fall To Pieces hit. I thought it was pretty cool. Totally contrary to the way other steel players play.
