Mr. Jenkins, I'm getting ready to go out as I read your post. My recollection is that there is a Newman course on Steel Guitar Rag, but I don't think it was in Woodshed Workshop series. I have it and when I have some time I'll see if I can find it and let you know.

Sonny,

I don't think it was a "Woodshed" course but there are two that I'm aware of: a very uptempo chicken-pickin' version in the booklet "Jeff Newman and a Few Good Friends and one other (my favorite) that is swing style using the lever that drops your Es. Both are pretty hot pieces.

I have most of Newman’s “Woodshed Workshop” series plus a lot of his other material.

He put out “Steel Guitar Rag” as a separate course complete with an audio cassette (older) or a CD (newer). It’s pretty good! Basically, he takes you through the melody & chorus 2 different ways and then there’s an extended solo section where you drop your E’s (4 & 8 ) which puts you in a 6th tuning. The solo is quick single-note work.

It really is a workout and not your garden-variety tab of Steel Guitar Rag.

I would really like to have the TAB , AUDIO , OR (hopefully) BOTH of this Newman SGR lesson.

Is anybody willing to share this? I am willing to buy it or provide you with any lessons I have in return.

Anybody willing to share?

Tom and others here are correct. Jeff released two versions of Steel Guitar Rag with tab. The first was on his "Jeff Newman & a Few Good Friends" LP and the later course was just the tab book and the tape or CD. They are in different keys and styles.
