I know he did'nt play steel , but worked along side some of the best steel players of his era.

Here is a nice obit about him in Saving Country Music.com

https://www.savingcountrymusic.com/paying-randy-meisner-the-respect-he-deserved-rip/

I was fortunate to meet and interview him back in '82 in Lubbock Tx, and a nicer guy you could not meet. He was a great singer and bass player and played on many iconic records.

May he rest in Peace!

A great loss. Such a talented musician, vocalist and all around nice guy.

Great musician and a great singer.. He sang "Take it to the limit" by the Eagles, and thats all anyone needs to know about his range and quality.. PLUS, the guy played one of those plastic Hagstrom basses early on... I mean how cool is that?,,RIP...

Have a listen to Rick Nelson album In Concert at the Troubadour from 1969 (the one where he introduces Tom "Bromley") for some great Randy Meisner harmony vocals. So sorry he's no longer among us.
