Bought from brother of the original owner. His brother bought it new then went into the service. He sold it to him. He was a bass player and stored it under the bed for most of its life.

I found my 1962 Sport Fury that I sold in 2005. Selling a few items so I can put money into a new disc brake conversion.

$2100.00 and shipping. Prefer Postal Money order or PayPal (add 3.5% for fees)
Price lowered to 1900.00 and shipping. PayPal fee not covered

My main guitar since the early 90's has been my 1983 Tele.
I had it modified for a third pickup at Twelth Fret in Portland, Oregon many year ago. Added a Schaller drop D tuner, a custom pickguard by Warmoth. Had a lot of Teles since then and a Strat. Always went back to the 1983 Tele.

Great playing neck. This is the Dan Smith era Tele as well as the one I am selling

1983 American Standard Telecaster, manufactured at the historic Fullerton factory during the "Dan Smith Era". Neck: C-shape profile, with a flat 12" radius (easier for string bending), a biflex truss rod, and jumbo frets. If you are a Jeff Buckley fan, this is the same model he used before his untimely death.

The bridge is a short-lived design deviation: a stainless steel, Fender/Schaller top-loading bridge with Elite saddles.

I have not heard of the "Dan Smith era", but I can attest to the fact and I can say for certain that 1983 Fender guitars were very well made, and from what vintage dealers have told me, it was one of the best build years in the modern era.. I owned and played an 83 Stratocaster Elite on stage for many many years, and it was one of the best Fender guitars I have ever owned, better by far than a lot of the more desirable Fenders I have had from the 60's... That is a really NICE tele!
