I was watching this last night. GREAT interview. I like where he says you can tell when a pedal steel guitarist started on lap steel and he recommends anyone learning pedals to play lap steel for a year first.

| I was opening for BR5-49 when Chris was playing with them back in the day. Was blown away at this 'kids' talent. I think he had just turned 21 at the time. I'm glad to see he's still doing his thing. |

I watched this over the past couple days and it was one of the most interesting and enjoyable interviews with a pro musician I have ever seen. He had some great insights on steel guitar and I loved his demos on the Fender D-8 toward the end. Loved all the insights on standard guitar as well.
Chris is a walking encyclopedia of country music history. And Zac Childs did his usual great job as the interviewer/host.
