I met Mike a long time ago. He was playing with a band from Texas called THE SHOP out of Dallas. Every year they would come up here to the NW and play at the WA. state fair. A great harmonica player for sure. Always very nice and friendly person. All my best regards to Mikes family. He certainly will be missed.

So sad. I knew Mike a bit from the big annual harmonica convention (SPAH). He not only had absolutely incredible harmonica chops as well as great ears and all around musicality, but he was one of the nicest, friendliest, people I've ever met -- always a big smile on his face.
