This is a bass EQ pedal, but works great for steel.
Tone Stack.....
Bass= 40hz
Mid Shift= 250hz - 1000hz
Mid= boost/cut
Treble= 4000hz
There is no presence control, but the treble covers a good range. The shift is easily in the range for steel. Bass frequency is close to the older Session 400.

It could be used as a stand alone preamp, but I'm using it with a TC Electronic BQ250 Bass Head (Class D, under 3 lbs). A great lightweight amp combination. Reverb and delay have to be supplied by pedals. I have it together in a briefcase for a quick setup. The BQ250 requires a 4 ohm speaker load. 250 watts output.
