Classical pieces can be really challenging on lap steel. In the past, I did arrangements of Sheherazade and Girl With the Flaxen Hair but lost focus before I got them up to a real performance level. I worked Bolero out more as an arranging exercise than as something I want to learn and play, but it's fun to dip into such a familiar theme. About 8 yrs ago, I took an existing guitar arrangement of Bolero and moved it to Dadd9 tuning for one of my books. Recently, I tried transposing to C6th ... dropping a lot of bass notes and eliminating repeats so it's just one-time thru each section. Mostly melody with occasional backup note stabs. I'll keep messing with it but this is how it is today.
