Thinking about what to bring along, I’ve narrowed it down to this selection. I can listen to any of these all day long in constant rotation and never stop smiling. Every one is a gem with great music and production. I have a little room left to pack a few more, so let me know some plums I’ve missed….

(In no particular order)

Poco “Pickin’ Up the Pieces”, “Poco”, “Deliverin”
Gary Carter
Tony Rice “Church Street Blues”
Moby Grape debut
Jim Cohen “Home, James”
Phil Keaggy “Acoustic Cafe”
Beatles “Rubber Soul”
Kathy Mattea “Walking Away a Winner”
David Grisman Quintet (‘77)

My Desert Island Top 5 (not necessarily in this order):

1) What's Shakin' (Various Artists/Elektra)

2) Aereo-Plain (John Hartford/Warner Brothers)

3) Will The Circle Be Unbroken (The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band/United Artists)

4) Introducing The Beatles (The Beatles/Vee-Jay)

5) The Best of Muddy Waters aka Sail On (Muddy Waters/Chess)
