First,if i didnt post this in the proper place,forgive me...
My new guitar is about to be assembled;
And I have 100% confidence the gang at Mullen will go above and beyond in packaging it- i also have 100 % confidence that the holiday help employed by carriers could damage an anvil boxed in a steel crate.
Am i just too paranoid?
I am leaning heavy to telling them to ship after Christmas..... |

I'd lobby for an after-Christmas ship date; Del, Dixie, and Mike were just as nice as they could be when I picked up my RP U-12, but I only had to make a 150 mile trip from east of Denver. NC is ten times further away, so there's gas, food, lodging, and road agents to take into account...  |

Michael, wait till after Christmas. I know people who work at UPS during the Christmas rush, and they admit they're not kind to large packages during December. I would imagine it's similar with other shippers...

Whatever you do don’t use UPS…
They crushed a speaker cabinet I purchased from someone here on the forum and I bought insurance and they would not honor it

Another vote for FEDEX here. Ron Anderson shipped my Justice to Canada via FE and it arrived safe and sound, securely packed, even mostly in tune.

You makes your choices, you takes your chances either way. On any given day, with any group of handlers it's a crap shoot.
I expect Mullen has a packing method and a carrier they use regularly. I don't have the patience to wait if my guitar is ready to ship, but more power to you if you decide to do that...and best of luck whatever you decide. 🎅 |

Do not use UPS. They just destroyed a Vintage Yamaha Stereo of mine that was shipped from East Central Ok to Austin, Tx. Looks like it was TOSSED about 15 feet and landed on concrete. It weight 15 lbs. Will not honer insurance, said it was not packed as should of been. J.R. Rose

I do not use UPS usually but they are 15 miles from me and Fed-X is 30 miles from me so I made a bad decision & took the short cut. Should not of done that. J.R. Rose

| You might try uship. You post what you have to ship and you will receive lots of bids. And you can tell them what you want to pay. Also you can arrange a meeting spot by the interstate to save you a couple of bucks. I have not used them for guitars, but have used them for dogs and the sevice was spot on. |
