SOLD TO A LONG-TIME FORUM MEMBER. Will send a donation after the check clears. Thanks!! And Merry Christmas!!!

Super sweet (and increasingly rare) All original 1946 Rickenbacker American Academy lap steel. Brown mahogany-colored bakelite body, original white bakelite knobs, original tuners, and the gorgeous-sounding horseshoe pick-up... and it's in about as nice shape as I've ever seen one of these.

Some of these models from between '47-'48 are just branded "Academy," usually with black knobs, then a much more common version with a pickup cover appeared under the name "Ace" until about 1952.

But this is a rare one, for sure!

In addition to the cool history, this baby sings--with this sweet little lap, you can get sounds from Sol Hoopii to Jerry Byrd to David Lindley, to Larkin Poe. So grab it while it's up!

Shipping is $49 to anywhere in the lower 48!
