I'm looking for any info about dating an early 1930's A22 Frypan, serial #B209. It's definitely pre 1937 as it has "Patent Pending" on the two pickup mounting plates. It has only one octagonal shaped control knob on the treble side. The output jack is on the player's side. If anyone knows when Rickenbacker switched from player's side output jack to treble side, and/or when they added a second octagonal shaped control knob, that could give me a better approximation for dating. Thank you.

Pictures would help.
There is little definative proof for early frying pans but my opinion places this one at 1936. Knowing how changes weren't made as model years it could go 1 year ether way though.
By '40 most steels moved the jack to the treble side of the body (Bakelite and Model 59 by late '37 or '38). The 8-sided knob was last used by '36-7 as far as I can tell.
This Ric sounds like one to be proud of.

Its twin. Wondered about year and have thought 33. Not sure. Kinda doesn't matter as long as it still plays. I will say nothing sounds like them. I see inside of our cases are a bit different. Wonder if that helps date either?
