I've been working on this guitar for a day or so. I set it up to the rodding chart in the Sierra manual and it did not play well at all! I have it somewhere near now making a few repairs along the way. What pedal hole positions do most players use see pic below it's a standard Emmons's ABC. ?

I do not use the first slot but the third slot It gives a shorter travel of the pedal, but is a little harder to push down. But I prefer it that way |

As I recall, factory set up was the middle hole. I've owned 2 or 3 keyless 14s and I remember experimenting with pedal connect positions. The middle position just seemed to be the best location for a combination of good feel and travel. |

Jerry you are right the middle hole is the best to use I have owned 12-15 sierras and the middle is the best to use. |

I've worked on quite a few steels and find that A and B middle hole, C pedal 3rd hole works best on some. The C pedal times better that way if your bellcranks aren't tall enough to come to pitch in time with the B pedal. |
