To the tune of that popular Christmas tune GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER:
I foolishly left my MOYO volume pedal on the roof of my car while moving equipment. I pulled out onto US 1 near my home in Florida and in my mirror saw it fly off into the middle of the road! I pulled over to the side to grab it but before I could reach it a semi-truck’s right rear tires ran right over it.
It survived - but the top part was bent. It still had travel, though restricted.
The amazing thing is it still worked - the pot, control string and linkage were untouched. I was able to use a vice and pry bar to straighten the bent top back in line enough to restore it to nearly full function. It doesn’t go QUITE back to Zero volume but it’s close enough for 99% of what I need.
Kudos to Glenn for the robust construction of this little marvel of a pedal!
Before my attempts to straighten it.

I didn’t want to bang on it too much and break anything. I figured I’d quit while I was ahead.

There are some stories of musicians using Ernie Ball's original pedal to drive their car on to gain access underneath!

Evel Kneivel used one for the ramp to jump Hell's Canyon.

Looks like it took a pretty good lick from the tractor trailer.

If the top was taken off, And set it up on a hard surface with a couple blocks of wood in the right place, 1 or 2 licks with an 8lb. sledge hammer should bring it back near perfect, Or access to a auto shop press would be even better.

Another fix would be, Replace the string wheel on the volume pot with a smaller wheel, This would give you more degrees of rotation on the pot. And allow full control.

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT TOO.
After setting my lunch pail on the roof, And it fell off and broke a glass lined thermos bottle. If my hands are full, I set things on the hood in front of the steering wheel.

Wow Kevin that is a first. Way to road test that pedal!

You could drive the pin out and prop the top against the side of the pedal, and then support the ends of the top to go after it with a big hammer. You wouldn't have to re-string it.

Or send it to me and I could make it all right.

You could take a page from the electric solidbody guitar manufacturer's playbook and sell it as a "relic."
