I use this, get them in the cosmetics dept, not expensive. My guitar has pins in the changer where the strings hook.

When I looked at the way the slots are made on the GFI Ultra guitars, The are deeper than the look. I changed strings on my GFI keyless Tuesday. Here is what I came up with, I need to refine it a little more.
This is a leather strip with a string ball end attached, Insert a bar in the bag for weight to pull and hold the new string firmly till the key end is attached and controllable.
Now to refine this. |

I got to work, On improving my String Ball holder for my GFI steel. I made the brass bar a little longer than a string ball for a better fit. Settled on using parachute chord and shrink tubing and a leather bar case, So I can safely carry an extra bar in my seat.
Since I made 4 of them, I believe a flat shoe string may work better than parachute chord, With less work.
The 2 sticks are what I use to align strigs on keyless tuning head, And a string puller, To tension strings on a Keyless guitar. bj |

Hi, I tried these little buggers and they work well. There’s 2 in a case if you lose one and the material won’t mar the finish. EO
