I pretty much use the Jules C13 exclusively unless I am messing with one of my own, and having that kind of focus has led me to discover a lot of things that I probably wouldn’t have casually.

This piece was composed and then performed live via looping, so what you are hearing is that session. It started with the arpeggiated figures and bass played togther, then the layered melody and sounds, followed by drums, which I played live on keys. The drums will probably put others off, but I am a very big fan of the style of drumming Paul Motian, who really turned drumming on its head. I am also a big fan of improvised music and free jazz.

Anyway, this is not really a steel guitar piece of music, although I can’t imagine being played on anything else. I wish i had video recorded it, but it would be a boring video, as most steel guitar videos are. Very Happy

Great stuff! In a world saturated in fuzz-guitar, it is always refreshing to hear the beautiful tones that an electric guitar can produce. Jules was an innovative musician; I think he would approve.

Looking forward to a full recording of this. I personally felt like it was just getting started.
