I've been listening to a lot of ambient music lately, and it's almost all computer-generated synths. I wondered what that style would sound like on steel. Here's my attempt - 4 stereo D6th tracks through the pedalboard into a Zoom R8 recorder.
Ambient music doesn't usually change chords at all, so I didn't. It's just a big mess of notes from D major pentatonic scale: D E F# A B. What do you think?

Very cool bOb, not exactly my cup of tea, but really cool that you're trying something different. I should give it a try, I might like it. Thanks for starting the Forum, what a great idea. I've really learned a lot from it |

I recorded another today, this one in the key of B minor.

It uses the D6th Chromatic copedent on a Desert Rose S-10. The tuning doesn't have the low D string of the D6th - it has a C# as the 2nd string instead. I used a Sub-n-Up effect box to get the bass part.
