I got this guy off of Reverb for a decent price. My other Eharp plays fine but has minor electrical issues that have discouraged me. I'll get it figured out eventually.
So I saw this, saw the natural wood finish (which I am a sucker for), and saw it came with the case and legs, and I went for it for $800.
It was tuned to kinda what's on the piece of tape - C F A C E G A C E G - low to high. I guess it would be Fmaj9, but really it seems like a C6 variant, I guess you could call it C6/Fmaj7? Pretty cool tuning that I played with for 15 mins or so before swapping the strings for the Alkire tuning. It needed thicker strings for that tuning IMO; it felt kind of sloppy.
Anyways, after getting it tuned up as Eddie intended, this thing is in remarkable condition for its age. If I wanted to clean it up, it would look almost new, and all the electronics work perfectly.
It also came with the largest and heaviest steel I have ever beheld in my admittedly limited experience. I used a tape measure and got 7/8" by 4" and my scale measured approx 14 lbs.
Anyways, after almost a year of transition where I was retiring from the military, getting a divorce, caring for my mom, getting a job, moving, and buying a house, I am finally in a position to start practicing regularly. I hope to start gigging on electric guitar as well, though I'd love to get up the chops to gig on Eharp.

Welcome to the obsession. Gauges are 36, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16
Here is mine of that model.
Let me know if you need any help. I have a ton of info, spreadsheets, lessons, etc. And of course my youtube channel dedicated to Eddie. _________________ Check out the Steel Guitar Union Hall Facebook group for you daily dose of Steel https://www.facebook.com/groups/steelguitarunionhall |

Wow, I don't think I've seen an Eharp with a sticker serial before - I didn't realize they made them that late. Very cool! |

Oh, that's definitely a Valco serial label, 1964-7. The stickers are more likely to fall off and disappear than the metal tags, so if you see one intact you can bet it's original. |

I can't believe a 7/8" x 4" bar would weigh 14 pounds!

You must be using a fisherman's scale.
