I admire your methodical approach.
Many “lessons” and “tutorials” aren’t that methodical!

Thanks so much J D... my "methodical approach" I think would be somewhat tortuous to most. I've never been one able to sit and do drills by the hour and although I've always liked the idea of lessons and tutorials, I'm arguably the worlds WORST student. I'll take an idea that STICKS in my head and then try to expand on it. I WISH I understood theory the way you do as I think it would save me a LOT of time. I do understand chord construction, but not in REAL time in the moment. As over analytical as I've been accused of being, I've never been able to get the theory in my head to the point where I'm comfortable talking about it, and my brain starts to cramp when I hear others talking about it. Yes, I know, I'm a special sort of guy. _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatune™

Dale, nice job. I liked it more when you increased the tempo and started to swing it. |

Dale, by "methodical" I meant to point out that you first learned the chords in several positions, so to be able to move around and find chord positions which would insinuate the theme's melody, and then moved on or in gradually.
Thanks!... J-D. _________________ __________________________________________________________

Thanks Paul, I wish I had more years under my belt with it, instead of all the wasted years kind of ignoring it... Really a Funtuning.

You're very kind Bill, I'm sorry your back is preventing you from playing as much as you'd like. Your playing has been a so inspirational to me. Take care my Friend.

Sorry you had to clarify that for me, but thanks for doing so. I need to take this to heart, as too often I just dive in without first understanding then environment I'm diving into. Guess I've done things like that forever. When I was a kid, my Dad would say, "Go get me..." and I'd be halfway there before even knowing what I was suppose to fetch.
