Those chord voicings at 1:11-1:13 tell me it’s probably not Buddy. Not that he couldn’t play them if he wanted to but I’ve never heard him use them. _________________ Bill Cunningham

That's Buddy alright, listen to the tone and attack. No-one has that tone. Thanks for posting. _________________ Just north of the Weird place, south of Georgetown |

Of all the years I knew Buddy and know that so many have tried to copy his playing, I would say that this is a copy and a pretty good one at that.
I too have never heard Buddy play some of those licks, even with some of the off the wall recording that I have of Buddy.
Plus it "almost" sounds like there was close to being a mistake at the end of the phrase and Buddy would never release something with a mistake.
Just my opinion. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. Sounds like Paul to me - I don't hear anything close to a mistake either. |
