Anybody know Buddys setup on Mansion On The Hill? Just pure, clean steel. Thanks, Dale. _________________ GFI SD10.Vegas 400, Oblong pedal, Rocket Scientist. |

Just a guess but I would say, an Emmons push pull(the blade) to a pot pedal into a Peavey Session 400 and a whole lot of talent! |

Dale, you are probably right. However Buddy did add in an old DD2 (analog) in those days.
Even though Buddy would bring all sorts of effects with him, it was only because the mfg gave them to him and wanted his to promote.
He would usually use those odd effects on one tune and then bypass them.
His true sound was like you say, the Blade, Goodrich 120 volume pedal, George L's cables and a Peavey Amp. Did not matter which amp, as he made them all sound good. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter. |
