Hey. Anybody know? I'm wondering if the work bench mount that is sold as an accessory on this site, will it fit my Excel S12? I'm worried the wrist pad might get in the way.

email me or post a pic of your Excel's top and I'll tell you if the work stands sold here will work for you.

I was able to use mine on an Excel Superb U12 with no problems.

Here's another simple one quickly built out of scrap wood and some stick-on felt, just to give you an idea of different designs.

Couple of notes:

My SG Forum bench device does not fit my pre-RP Mullen D12, sadly.

It's a great device, and does work on my Carter SD-10.

I use a stand/sit desk to work on steels, being able to adjust the workbench height is really a back saver!

Larry Ball, where did you get those cleats for the table? Did you make them or modify them? I have an old Black and Decker workmate table that I use for everything, but not my steels as of yet.

They came with the table and can be moved in the vast holes , plus the table itself is adjustable so basically there is no need to move them. I also placed an adhesive pad on the top to prevent them from scratching the finish of the steel as they are made of hard plastic. I believe you can buy them at Home Depot or Lowes.

Thanks Larry. My table works the same way but the supplied cleats are not that large. Of course there is plenty of available cleats of all sizes and styles. That's a great idea and I will be happy to follow up on your methods.
