From the 2004 Choo Choo Reunion Chattanooga, TN USA

My long time pal and very unique steel guitarist, Jim Cohen showing how it's done. If you are expected to hear the same old 4/4 shuffles, then leave. Jim plays jazz and pop standards like no one else.

Enjoy

Jim Cohen and his steel guitar.

Bill, thanks. That was a great set. Jim takes the C6 seriously. Good jazz and well played.

At the end of the '70s I took my future wife to the Chattanooga Choo Choo (restored Southern railroad terminal and restaurant) while we were dating. She loved the place! The Beaux Arts architecture and the specialty cuisine were a lot of fun and the freight buildings out back featured a bunch of cool boutiques we could wander after the meal.

I second that. Is there any way to get a recording of the set? Thanks.

Hey Bill,

Thanks for digging that up and posting it. I appreciate it. I hope you and Linda and family are all doing well. I sure miss the steel shows but will hopefully get to one soon.

Thanks too to all the folks who made nice comments in this thread about my playing. Also much appreciated.

Take care everyone,
Jimbeaux

Hope you are doing well also Jim.

Yep, having used to do 8-10 steel shows a year and now down to 1, it's hard to keep on picking.

BTW: If you check the various FaceBook steel guitar sites, there are many more compliments.

For some reason, I don't get many comments on the SGF and this is THE place for everything steel guitar.
