Hey everybody,
I just bought John Higgins' old Professional. There are a couple of things that I need to do to get it really playing smooth. One of the things is that the first four pedals seem to have space between them that lends itself to a loud noise. There appears to have been a spacer that has been lost, though it could be just due to years of wear. Anyway, I'm guessing my best bet is to get a nylon spacer and sand it down to the needed width. Just figured that I would check here, just in case there is some kind of purpose-made part I should be getting. Otherwise, I'm guessing that ACE hardware can help me out.

Sorry for the slow response, but here's a picture. I've circled the gap. It's just a few millimeters of space, but it causes a lot of mechanical noise.

Yeah I imagine a nylon washer would be a quiet solution.

I have made pedal bar spacers before out of plastic milk cartons. they are easy to cut out and you can make a hole punch out of a piece of thin wall tubing or get a hole punch kit from Harbor Freight.

| The flat plastic lids from some 1 gallon Ice Cream containers makes great spacer washer material also. Just punch proper size hole, cut outside to fit with scissors. |
