I need to create a playlist for a party for someone from West Texas, of Texas dancehall tunes. I'm expecting to include some Bob Wills (of course), AATW, Johnny Bush, Beats Walkin' (hey, it's my list... Wink) and what else?

For you guys and gals who play the TX dancehalls, what are your most requested dance tunes? (Naturally, I already have San Antonio Rose and Faded Love on the list.)

Thanks in advance for your input!

Maybe a bit more modern, but Joe Ely's 'West Texas Waltz', was a dance floor staple in the 70's and 80's in Lubbock.

I don't necessarily know what's popular as of this particular moment. But I do know I have a great time playing along with these Texas Dancehall backing tracks from Steve Alcott. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=139162&highlight=dancehall

Here's 3 songs that never fail to get people out onto a Tx dancehall's hardwood floor -

Fraulein, Silver Wings, Crazy Arms.

I think Under The X in Texas, and Rita Ballou would go over pretty well.
