Original songs - guitar and steel

Hi everyone, about a year ago I posted on here for tips about creating accompaniments for a songwriter friend's songs with only guitar and steel. We did a live recording of some of the songs last fall and did some homemade video recordings to go with them. Here are a couple:

Working with this friend did a lot for me for finding my own personal style on steel. Ironically, and you all probably had a similar experience, all I feel I really did was let the songs tell me what they wanted.

Hmm, I guess the word "original" in the title was a turn-off. Maybe I posted this in the wrong steel guitar forum?
