To clear something up. This is not an electric fiddle. It's an acoustic fiddle and was recorded through a mic. It just happens to be made from carbon fiber instead of wood. Technology at its best.

Absolutely out of this world!
I was loaned one of the Glaser Carbon Fiber Fiddles to try for a week. The one I tried however was the electric model. I found that it played great and sounded great but with the electronics it seemed a little heavy. The one you have in this video sounds incredible.

I haven't played the electric Glasser. I was tempted because I play electric when I'm working with country bands. However, the concensus is that the electric ones do not sound as good acoustically. Fiddlershop has a youtube video comparing them, and it seemed obvious to me. I fitted a Baggs bridge for the Glasser, for when I want to plug-in. It worked really well. I can see where all those electronics built into the chinrest could get heavy. I like it and its a fiddle that has exceeded my expectations. You know how fiddles are, and where the tone comes from. What I really like about this one is how the setup is so perfect and how it's so consistent.

Very nice Rick! I sent the link to our fiddle player, I wanted him to see what the Glasser sounded like. He plays a 5 string. You are as Paul said, a talented man!
