Hi all,

I've just uploaded 5 more Grateful Dead covers/arrangements to my "Pedal Steel Only" youtube playlist: Rosemary, High Time, China Doll, Mountains of the Moon & Row Jimmy. They're all played on my Mullen G2 SD12 and usually consist of the main track handling the chords+melody and an overdubbed 2nd track for the bass part. Some add a 3rd track to play Jerry's guitar solos.

You can find the playlist at:

Thanks for listening Winking

Beautiful playing Dennis. I know all the lyrics to the songs and sang them in my head to your tunes. It would have probably sounded worse if I opened my mouth.
In any event, have a beautiful Washington evening. I love Washington and have family outside of Olympia.

Thank you Duncan! Those Dead songs have such wonderful vocal melodies. I just love figuring out how to play the chords underneath while picking the vocal lines on top. When I do these arrangements I'm always amazed at how much of those chord+melody parts lay out perfectly on E9 Winking

My wife & I moved up here back in 2012 and love WA. We live about 1/2 hour outside of Oly in this very quiet little town of ~2000 without a single traffic light Smile

Very nice music, Dennis! That Mullen sounds fantastic. There are a few really good steel players around Washington. I moved here in 1978 and left a few times to other states but always come back. It's beautiful here.

Thanks Joe for the very kind words! It took me a long time to finally dial in the sound I had in my head for the Mullen but it was well worth the journey. The final piece of the puzzle for me was going to a BL712 humbucker through a Cali76 Stacked Compressor Winking

WA is indeed beautiful...my wife & I moved up from the San Jose area in 2013 and have found our forever home...you couldn't pay us to live anywhere else Smile
