Here's a versatile swing lick in C6th that's moveable to different keys. Using upper and lower neighbor tones, it outlines a major chord arpeggio. You can hear this lick in the playing of a lot of guitarists from Django to Les Paul to Joe Pass. Ignore the bar #s.

Small point, but the engraver in me can't let it pass!
In the second measure I would notate the Ab as a G# so that the natural sign is no longer required. Good grammar = less ink.
Yes, thank you, I do feel better now... _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I was rushing to leave for a video shoot so it was a quick and dirty post, Ian. I didn't check the accidentals or the bar #s but it's all about the moveable pattern. I'm a member in good standing of the lazy transcribers society. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

No problem, Andy. Now I feel even more picky and pedantic than I did before _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
