1989 Anniversary Emmons Push Pull 8/4. Serial Number 6738. This guitar has never been played outside of the house. C-6 Neck never played. A rare find, and one that has not been refurbished. All original, as picked up from the factory. Price $5500, buyer pays shipping.

If I am not mistaken, there were only 5 of these guitars made. 4 Black and One Rosewood and all were Strayhorn Era Guitars.

There is actually another red mica D-10 25th Anniversary guitar here in the Northwest. It's owned by an old friend of mine in the Portland, Oregon area. He bought it new from Bobbe Seymour at his store while he was on a business trip in Nashville.
I'm currently working on another black mica one right now. It's #6749 presently owned by a customer in Texas.
This one that's being sold by Jody is very interesting in that it's the only one I've seen with the original style cast pedals (rather that than the later LeGrande style extruded ones).

There were rumors that someone in Nashville made copies that looked like an ANNIVERSARY EDITION but the cast pedals were the determining factor as a genuine guitar made at the Emmons Factory in Burlington NC.
Jack Strayhorn made all of them if my memory is right (Which is weak at the moment) If Jack is monitoring this thread, he could verify.
If I remember correctly, on a trip to Burlington back In the 90's, he said there were 5 made. 4 Black and One Rosewood and were made from parts left over from a surplus of Push Pull parts. Ron Sr said let's make an Anniversary edition and as a result 5 were made. |
