Hi

Here's a (rejected) version of the already posted Radiohead 2. An example of minimal steel accompaniment.

Great stuff Gary. That Williams has a fantastic tone in your hands.

Thanks Andrew.

Yes, the Williams does make a nice sound. I barely process it at all: a bit of reverb and a bit of delay and then straight out of the back of my modest (but mighty) Roland Cube 80x. It seems to do the trick most days, but then some days it sounds like sh**. Why does that happen? I wish I knew! maybe it's a mood thing.

Thanks again

G

Yes indeed. I think some call that the "law of impermanence". No two moments are ever the the same, and the way we hear and process sound varies from day to day. The good news is that if one is having a rough day, things will inevitably shift and hopefully improve!

If I couldn't see you playing, I'd assume it was Frisell with Greg Leisz! Very nice.

Thanks Bob

Actually it was just me miming over an unreleased Frisell/Leisz track.

Kidding!...but I'm honoured you think so. I actually ordered the Williams on the Leisz sound alone...he is a phenomenon for sure.

Now back to practising my steel-syncing skills.

Gary

You really nailed that sound. Extended E9th or E9/B6?

Where'd you get the guitar track? Sounds just like Bill Frisell.

Hi Bob

E9/B6...although not using the B6 pedals on this one.

I play the guitar. Have been for quite a while now (56 years actually)
