I always enjoyed Merle and Willie's version of Pancho and Lefty, so I decided to do an interpretation on my 6 string lap steel (L'il Ricky).
Hope you enjoy my arrangement of the tune.

Great song, nice job. I also like Albatross very much. I was in London when it charted for Peter Green and the original Fleetwood Mac.

Hi David and Joe,
Glad you like the arrangement. I always loved Peter Green's touch and vibrato, especially on Albatross. I tried to duplicate some of that when I play the lap and pedal steel.

Very nice, Chuck. I like the effect near the end... a phaser? Also, two steel tracks toward the end? Sounding good!

Great arrangement, Chuck. Thanks for sharing!
FWIW, here is my all-time favorite cover of Pancho and Lefty. From the (now hard-to-find) 1977 Hoyt Axton album
"Snowblind Friend". The great Pete Grant on pedal steel.

Thanks, guys. You can always tell if a song is well written by the different interpretations it evokes. Doug, good ears! I'm using a phaser for part of the tune. Lap steel harmonies are my not so "secret sauce" to my arrangements.
