Anyone know where Gary Carter went that was working for Connie Smith. I thing Eddy Lange has the job now i had heard.

Gary does a lot of session work from his studio at home. From what I understand, he recently got married, and while he may do a few playing dates if they're not too far away, I think he's content to hang up the road life for awhile and do sessions and tracks from his house.

Gary is the finest, most under-the-radar steeler on the planet. Such a great player, tone and intonation and taste in songs to die for. Go to his site and order his CD, unique chord voicings in everything he plays.

705 or 710 pickups?

Gary uses a Lawrence XR-16 on the E9th. Seems to me like he told me one time that he uses a 710 on the C6.
